The West Midlands Forum For Growth is organised by Movers & Shakers; in partnership with WMGC, WMCA and DIT and is the official conference of the West Midlands Combined Authority.

This is an authoritative one-day event, bringing together Public (Central and Regional Government) and Private Sector leaders to engage and debate the key issues in driving the West Midlands economy forward.

The theme for 2019 is “INVESTING IN THE FUTURE”

Building on the 2016, 2017 & 2018 Forums [see feedback] the theme for 2019 will be ‘Investing in the future’ - people, place economy.

This one-day event brings together Public and Private Sector leaders to engage and debate the key issues in growing the West Midlands economy.

The conference will be an exciting mix of keynotes, panel sessions, presentations and breakout sessions; designed to explore the growth opportunities, to showcase major game-changing projects, innovation and technology; featuring the next generation of talent and enterprise and focusing on housing and inward investment across the West Midlands.

Conference content will cover; growth sectors; infrastructure & connectivity, inward investment, regeneration & placemaking. In addition, there will be opportunities to find out what the LEP’s are planning with plenty of interaction and debate throughout the day.

The West Midlands Combined Authority has an economy worth £85bn of GVA; and in one of the fastest growing economies in the UK outside London. Its plan is to unlock £8bn of investment packages and offers enormous potential as a growth platform for the UK economy and provides a massive opportunity to investors, developers and the construction industry.
